Herbie's Acee Deucee

Some relatives happened to be in town during EAA, but not because of that event. We wanted to show them around town and thought it would be fun to stop in at Acee Deucee Lounge to see if Harrison Ford was there.

The place was pretty empty, but that didn't stop us from grabbing a bar stool and ordering a drink. The bartender grabbed a glass and added ice, the 1 dash of bitters, 1 pour of simple syrup, and 2 shots of a rail brandy that I couldn't identify the brand. Then the drink was topped off with soda.

I'm not sure you could even call this drink an old fashioned, especially for $4.75. But I guess that is a decent price for two shots. The drink was quite sweet with no bitters essence. The bar was homey and the owners quite nice I loved all the air force chachkies on the wall. I just can't recommend their old fashioned.
