Uptown

The Friday night crew decided to try Oshkosh's newer establishment, Uptown. OK, I can't lie, I don't think this place is that new, but it's new to me. I swear I was told it moved from Main Street, so maybe only this location is new?

Anyways, we entered the bar area, to have a few drinks while waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive. Uptown has a large bar area, with a giant circle bar in the middle. It happened to be Happy Hour, which is every day from 3-6:30 and has special appetizers and $1 off drinks. I ordered a brandy old fashioned sour.

The drink was made starting with ice, an unidentifiable rail brandy, 4 dashes of bitters and soda.

The drink was meh, but I did enjoy sitting at the bar with the locals. I like the tall ceiling and how clean the place was. My first drink was pretty strong for $3 and my second was less strong for $4. Dinner was fine for a random neighborhood bar in Oshkosh. And the happy hour specials are appreciated.

Despite all of this "meh", what is really special about Uptown is their Tom & Jerry's! They use the usual Manderfields mix, but their mixing of other alcohols is really phenomenal work. Best T&J I've had!
